Veterinarian
Heather Kingus, DVM, originally from Waterloo, practiced for four years in Naperville, Illinois before joining Frey Pet Hospital in 2006. She first became interested in becoming a veterinarian when she was twelve years old, and she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 2002. Dr. Kingus has special interests in ophthalmology, internal medicine, pediatric patients, and educating owners on pet wellness. She has a house full of furry family members with eight pets! She and her husband Rob have two daughters together, and enjoy spending time as a family. When Dr. Kingus is not attending her daughters’ many activities, she enjoys reading, traveling and shopping. “I am truly happy to be a part of Frey Pet Hospital!” says Dr. Kingus.
